We are excited to announce our upcoming show "Life/Lines: Abstract Geometry by Women" at the Gowanus Print Lab from January 11th through February 11th. The opening night, January 11th, will be a night of celebration for these artists and their work. Please stop by! Doors at 7pm.
Brooklyn, New York— The Gowanus Print Lab hosts a multi-media group exhibition with works by Raquel Shalam, Jessie Laura, Nicole Cohen and Senem Oezdogan. Through collage, printmaking, painting, photography and textile arts, these female artists respond to the daily onslaught on visual images and preconceptions by stepping out and back through abstraction. With their work, the artists construct an alternative means of viewing that plays at the intersections and contrasts of lines, shapes, compositions, colors, and contexts. This space invites viewers to slow down and turn away from the mayhem. “Life/Lines” will run through February 11th, 2018. The artists will be present at the opening reception: January 11th, 2018 at 7pm at the Gowanus Print Lab. 54 2nd Ave Brooklyn, NY 11215.
