DIY Wedding
DIY Wedding is a week-long workshop designed to help lovebirds create everything paper they need for their wedding! No prior screen printing experience is necessary; our instructor is there to guide you through the process from "soup to nuts," from finalizing your designs to finishing your prints. This workshop is great DIY fanatics who are looking to add an unique, personalized, and handmade touch to their wedding. Come on your own, or bring your significant other or bridesmaids along to help you print! Everything you need to print is included in the workshop; that's your screens, inks, squeegees, tape, emulsion, solvents, etc. The only thing the brides-and-grooms-to-be need to provide is the paper they will be printing on. Bring in your choice of paper or buy some at discounted prices right here at the Print Lab. Celebrate your finished prints on the last day of the workshop with a champagne toast! DIY Wedding is run by appointment only, please call the studio at 718.788.3930 to schedule your private session of DIY Wedding. Five 3-Hour Sessions Experience Level: Beginner (no experience necessary) Price: $500, all screen printing supplies, free studio time the week of and weekend after workshop, access to Mac computers + Adobe programs and champagne toast on the last day of the workshop included. You provide paper. Instructor: TBD example schedule... Monday 7-10pm Digital Session: Come to class with ideas, sketches, and files and work with the instructor to prepare your designs and print out your films. Tuesday 7-10pm Studio Session: Select, coat and shoot your screens, prepare them for printing, and select your paper and mix inks for the next day's class. Wednesday 7-10pm Studio Session: Start Printing! The instructor will give a demonstration on how to set up your workspace so you can get printing seamlessly and quickly. Thursday 7-10pm Studio Session: Printing Friday 7-10pm Studio Session: Printing, Cutting & Finishing
