Art Prep + Color Seps

Have an image but have no idea how to prepare it for screen printing? This introductory course will show you how to design your digital files to be output for screen printing and provide you with the basics of color separation for 4 color process printing.

Typography 101

Typography is the art of arranging type to make language visible. In this class, you will learn how to harness typography as your visual voice. Topics to be discussed include the history of typography, how digitization has changed type design, applications of the letterform, anatomy of a typeface (kerning, tracking, font classifications) and more. Examples will be shown in class to illustrate trends throughout history and class will critique good, the bad and the ugly of type.

Photoshop Crash Course

Get your Adobe Photoshop feet wet in this introductory class for absolute beginners! Get the gist of the Photoshop workspace including layers, selection and tools so you can fulfill your basic image manipulation needs. Topics will be covered in 20 minute demo projects while you follow along, hands-on.

Intro to HTML & Dreamweaver

This seminar aggregates the latest technologies of the web and synthesizes them into fundamentals for HTML beginners. Skills covered include how to use cascading style sheets (CSS) to organize HTML and deliver messages more efficiently; how JQuery/Javascript help give websites special effects without the use of flash; Content Management Systems (CMS) that allow you to control the website without editing any of the code; the varying ways to create and edit HTML tags on websites; and how to incorporate HTML into social media using URL shortening and customized URLs.

Adobe After Effects

Over the course of 5 weeks learn the fundamentals of Adobe After Effects, an industry standard "swiss army knife" of video production & animation.
