Adobe After Effects

Over the course of 5 weeks learn the fundamentals of Adobe After Effects, an industry standard "swiss army knife" of video production & animation.

This class will provide students with a working knowledge of the software and it's appropriate applications. Students will leave with a concrete foundation of technical knowledge and an understanding of professional workflows, organization, and basic integration between After Effects and other professional video and design software.

Topics to be covered include: keyframe animation, text animation, color keying, rotoscoping, effects & compositing, mattes & masking, color correction, tracking, screen replacement, 3D and MORE.

Instructor Bio: Thomas is a motion graphics artist and 3D generalist currently working in R/GA's Digital Studio. In his time at R/GA he has worked for clients such as Nike, Google, Nokia, Johnson & Johnson, Walmart, L'Oreal, McCormick & Co., Verizon, and many others. He is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts Computer Art department and has 5 years of professional experience creating video for broadcast, web, and mobile applications.
